What does a reading consist of?

 

A General Reading will begin with a brief prayer and evocation. I will call on my guide  to direct the session and shuffle the cards (the deck will be intuitively chosen, and more than one deck may be used during the reading). A General Reading will include information about several different aspects of the client’s life (career, love, spirituality). After the first card spread has been discussed and explained, I will often ask if the client has any questions. This is the opportunity to ask specific questions regarding anything that came up or to ask new questions. If there is a new question, I will verbalize the question to my guide, shuffle the cards, and explain the cards that come up. 

 

Three-question readings follow the same preparatory process as General Readings (prayer, shuffling, explanation of cards). The difference is that it is shorter since the reading is limited to the three questions the client asks at the beginning of the session. If the answer to a question does not make sense, I will rephrase the message of the cards. In some cases, I will rephrase a question, shuffle again, and discuss the clarifying cards.

 

Urgent question readings are the shortest offering because they are limited to burning questions that clients have. This type of reading is for clients that are not interested in a long dialogue concerning the subject in question. They may be interested in asking “yes or no” questions or questions regarding the timing of an event. This reading is meant to not exceed 15 minutes, so the answers provided by the cards will be explained in a straightforward fashion with little elaboration.

 

The goal of each reading is to provide clarity for the client and we certainly hope that all clients walk away satisfied with their experience.

 

¿En qué consiste una lectura?

 

Una lectura general comienza con una breve oración y evocación. Llamaré a mi guía para que dirija la sesión y baraje las cartas (la baraja se elegirá intuitivamente y se podrán usar más de una durante la lectura). Una lectura general incluirá información sobre diversos aspectos de la vida del cliente (profesión, amor, espiritualidad). Tras comentar y explicar la primera tirada de cartas, preguntaré con frecuencia si el cliente tiene alguna pregunta. Esta es la oportunidad para hacer preguntas específicas sobre cualquier tema que haya surgido o para plantear nuevas preguntas. Si surge una nueva pregunta, se la verbalizaré a mi guía, barajaré las cartas y explicaré las cartas que salgan.

 

Las lecturas de tres preguntas siguen el mismo proceso preparatorio que las lecturas generales (oración, barajar, explicación de las cartas). La diferencia radica en que es más breve, ya que se limita a las tres preguntas que el cliente formula al inicio de la sesión. Si la respuesta a una pregunta no tiene sentido, reformulo el mensaje de las cartas. En algunos casos, reformulo una pregunta, barajo de nuevo y explico el mensaje de las cartas nuevas.

Las lecturas de preguntas urgentes son las más breves, ya que se limita a una pregunta. Este tipo de lectura es para clientes que no están interesados en un diálogo extenso sobre el tema en cuestión. Pueden estar interesados en hacer preguntas de "sí o no" o sobre cuándo ocurrirá un evento. Esta lectura no debe exceder los 15 minutos, por lo que las respuestas de las cartas se explicarán de forma directa y sin mayor elaboración.

 

El fin de cada lectura es que el cliente tenga claridad y esperamos que cada cliente termine satisfecho con su experiencia.
